Indian Pipe
This fascinating plant (Monotropa uniflora) is definitely one of nature’s weird wonders. Because it has no chlorophyll and doesn’t depend on photosynthesis, this ghostly white plant is able to grow in the darkest of forests. Many people refer to this strange plant as Indian pipe fungus, but it is not a fungus at all – it just looks like one. It is actually a flowering plant, and believe it or not, it is a member of the blueberry family.

Blue-footed B***y (Sula nebouxii): 90cm (35in). This seabird is native to the pacific. This bird is easily identifiable thanks to its distinctive blue feet. Thank you again Steve Murray for sharing this terrific photo of an adult with chicks.

A Cape Shoveler doing early morning stretches.  These ducks are endemic to Southern Africa and mostly found around inland water sources. Although they are rated as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List of Species, they too are reliant on healthy ecosystems such as wetlands, which are under pressure from human development.

This , we're sharing this remarkably detailed image, ‘Bee line’, taken by Frank Deschandol Wildlife Photographer

As they are cold-blooded, bees gain energy from the sun's heat so have to rest during the night and in cooler weather. Holding tight to the stems with their strong, jaw-like mandibles, they gradually relax – their bodies lower, their wings rest and their antennae droop – until they fall asleep, waiting for the morning to come. https://bit.ly/WPY-Deschandol

Respect all life.

Oniscidae: You may have found them under a brick or a damp object. You may have felt disgusted and wondered why they exist in nature.
Well, let me tell you, these animals oniscidae, better known as cochineal, are a subgroup of isopod crustaceans whose function is to remove harmful heavy metals to the earth such as mercury, cadmium and lead. They contribute to the cleansing of the soil and groundwater and reaffirm the wisdom of nature.
Do not damage them or spray pesticides!

YOU TALKING TO ME?
Ann Baldwin (Photographer) in Oceanside, CA, writes about this odd encounter:
"I heard a juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk calling. Then I saw a small bird fly onto a branch very close. I grabbed my camera and could hardly believe what I saw: the Hawk staring at a male House Finch almost beak-to-beak for around 4 minutes. Nature never ceases to amaze!"

WALKING AS ONE, BOTSWANA

Walking As One is an opportunity to help us remember who we truly are.

Being in nature and spending time in the presence of peaceful wild animals, joyful birds, majestic trees, alive insects, beautiful plants and ancient reptiles, who never lost their true nature connection, can be immensely inspiring.

This unique experience can help us claim more of who we really are by gradually letting go of old programs, beliefs, conditioning that is not serving us anymore and which created a deep disconnect.

Being immersed in this field of unity, can help us reconnect to live a more authentic and truthful life.
