This is the heart of a blue whale, the largest animal on Earth. Weighing in at 440 lbs, the technicians at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto did an amazing job preserving this specimen after a blue whale carcass washed ashore in Newfoundland.

Just a quick update after Fiona :

Our area was spared the worst of the storm and after a preliminary scout around we have little in the way of serious damage. Miraculously the power stayed on which was comforting for ourselves and our guests.

Sad to see the devastation in other parts of the provinces and our thoughts are with you and the hard working teams who help us get back to normal.

We are very thankful and mainly lucky to be able to carry on with the remainder of the season.
