On May 7th, KLM participated in the first-ever SkyTeam's Sustainable Flight Challenge and activated many initiatives to reduce the CO2 emissions per passenger on its KL 675 flight from Amsterdam to Edmonton. ✈️🌱

Highlights:

• A new record has been established: with a load of 39% of Sustainable Aviation fuel, this was the longest commercial flight ever with the highest amount of SAF.
• We flew with the Boeing 787-10, our most sustainable long-distance aircraft;
• We reduced the weight of tableware and optimized our recycling;
• Edmonton partners operated electric vehicles for ground operations;
• And much more!
