Today, Air Canada launched their new non-stop service from Halifax to Vancouver International Airport! ✈️

We were pleased to be joined by Nova Scotia's Minister of Economic Development, the Honourable Susan Corkum-Greek, and Discover Halifax.

Starting May 1, Air Canada will offer non-stop flights between Halifax Stanfield and Vancouver International Airport (Vancouver International Airport) with service up to five times weekly! ✈️

Update on border rule changes effective February 28 | February 17, 2022
Early this week, Canada announced changes to border rules. Effective February 28, fully vaccinated travelers have the option of submitting a negative rapid antigen test result. ACTA received confirmation that the test result can be taken any time on the day of or prior to travel. This mirrors the entry rules to the United States. Travelers can still opt for a negative molecular test taken within 72 hours of travel.
Additional updates include the removal of the mandatory arrival testing and quarantine, reverting to random surveillance testing.
Unvaccinated children under 12 accompanied by fully vaccinated adults will not have to isolate when arriving in Canada. This means they can attend school, daycare, and other indoor activities immediately upon arrival.
Further, the advisory against all non-essential travel globally will be lifted, returning to country-specific risk assessments. ACTA is working to confirm whether the advisory on cruise travel will ease.
While pleased with these changes, ACTA is advocating for the removal of all testing requirements for fully vaccinated travelers.

We are all ready to get back to some sort of normalcy with travel, and removal of the in destination PCR requirement will greatly benefit those who love/want to travel and will be a massive step forward in the recovery of the travel and tourism sector.
