Owned and operated by the Meredith Family, The Farm Gate Shop is now in its 23rd year of operation. As life time farmers, we understand and appreciate the need and desire for quality meat products. It starts with animals, such as ours, that are raised with care in a healthy and happy environment. We are pleased and proud to feature home raised and local beef, chicken, lamb, pork, and veal products

in our country shop. We offer a wide variety of delicious sausages, roasts, smoked bacon, steaks, chops, specialty items, and much more! Check out our product list post for all of our mouth watering delights. You will also find a tasty selection of jams and jellies, pickles, local honey, and local frozen blueberries. We are excited to carry a wide variety of local artwork and crafts as well as an assortment of antiques and collectibles. And we are thrilled to feature the Artwork of family member, Andrew Meredith. Clair and Robby both brought in some awesome new items on the weekend and with four Shops in the Village there is lots to explore and discover. 😊

Robby delivered this gorgeous cupboard to the Shop yesterday. ❤ And check out the Fisherman carving on top of it! 😊

It was awesome to see all the Dads yesterday. I got to meet a fabulous young couple from Ontario with their 8 week old son. What a sweetheart. ❤ He was getting Daddy his first Father's Day gift. ❤

This gorgeous Chest on Chest Dresser which is from the 1800's and is in incredible condition. ❤

These four sets of plates are made in France and each have a lovely fun, whimsical theme to them. From Oranges and Apples to Camembert Cheese and Lemons. What great gifts they would make! 😊

And this amazing Bust of Sir Robert Borden, the 8th Prime Minister of Canada and who was born in Grand Pré, Nova Scotia, is simply stunning. 😊

So rich in history and charm. ❤

Starting last summer I’ve spent countless hours restoring the exterior this beautiful church. It should be good for another century now! It’s the perfect size to turn into a house or perfect for a short term rental or business!
And if you need ideas with what to do with it, I’ve got tons of those as well. I just have too many projects and this one is ready to be passed on to a new owner.

Sending out some very special wishes today to an amazing group of ladies. The girls at Angel's Diner. ❤

These ladies are just incredible. They have brought such happiness and sunshine to so many people's lives. We have been incredibly spoiled since the day the Diner opened by their caring hearts and kind souls. And of course, the incredible meals they provided.

As you move on to the next chapter in your lives, please know ladies how much your presence will be missed here in the Village and how much joy you brought to so many people.

I look forward to our paths crossing often. You gals are the absolute best! ❤

It's a wonderful feeling when you are able to help someone find something that has special meaning to them. 😊

We recently had this amazing painting come into the Shop. Unfortunately, due to some light glare, this photo is not doing it justice at all. This painting was done by Nova Scotia Artist, Brian Porter. Measuring approximately 4' x 3', it is such a breath taking eye catcher.

A couple came in yesterday and were quite taken with it and were delighted that it was done by this artist. It turned out that the gentleman went to school with this Artist and his wife's mother had given him art lessons. 😊

Needless to say this painting went to it's new home yesterday. It was just meant to be. ❤

One of my first customers last weekend was a lady from the Halifax direction.

She said it was her first visit to the Shop since last year and asked if I remembered her buying a framed picture of a gentleman from years ago. The picture had been located near the main doorway. I did.

She told me that whenever she came to the Shop she was drawn to it. She thought about buying it various times but didn't. One day when she was in, another lady was looking at it and discussing buying it. She told the lady that she would like to buy it. That she felt it needed to go home with her and she would be sad if it was gone.

So she bought the picture and took it home. She showed it to her mother. Her Mother asked her where she had gotten it and if her grandmother had given it to her. Her mother told her to show the picture to her grandmother.

Feeling slightly puzzled she took the picture to her grandmother. Again, she was asked where she had gotten it. Her grandmother then said that she thought it was gone with some other things a long time ago. Her grandmother proceeded to tell her that the picture was of her father, the lady's great grandfather. 😊

I think there was a little bit of special Antique Shop magic in the air that day and it was time for that gentleman to go home. ❤

The Warehouse Sale is happening now! 😊 425 Station Road, Great Village

A little bit ago, I was gifted with this short video clip of Mitch. ❤ The video was taken a few years ago when he came home to see Dad who was in the hospital. At the time, Mitch was working out West doing surveying and the conversation was regarding his work out there. It is only a few seconds long but to hear his voice and see him is such a tremendous gift. ❤❤❤ Mitch did not deserve to be killed. He was so full of life, kindness, and love. The person who killed Mitch lives his life without remorse and brags about what he did. This person does not deserve to be walking free. I was just reading this morning on the RCMP page about a case from the same year that they are looking for a suspect for. It is definitely not too late to get justice for Mitch. All it is going to take is an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers to give the police a reason to bring this guy back in for questioning. To Mitch's friends... I hope this video brings the good times that you shared with Mitch to mind. All the fun, all the laughter, all the many adventures. ❤ I hope you can find it in your hearts to make that call for him. ❤ Crime Stoppers. 1-800-222-8477
