Needless to say, the last 2 years were extremely challenging for the wedding industry, as well as for the many couples who had to alter, postpone, or even cancel their planned nuptials altogether. However, with the recent transition into Stage 5 of Nova Scotia's Covid re-opening plan, we are all excited about the return to the "new normal", and what is anticipated to be a banner year for the wedding industry.

Unfortunately, the easing of Covid restrictions in the province - most importantly the lifting of indoor gathering limits - came too late in the year to allow the necessary lead time to properly organize the upcoming Brides show which was scheduled for January 2022.

As a result, the show has been postponed until JANUARY 29, 2023 at the Halifax Convention Centre. Exhibitor booking packages will be issued early in the new year, and I look forward to welcoming exhibitors and couples alike back to "Brides 2023 - Atlantic Canada's Largest Wedding Show"!

Due to the uncertainties regarding Covid-19, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Brides 2021 show, scheduled for January 24th at the Halifax Convention Centre, until JANUARY 30th, 2022. The well being of our exhibitors and public alike is of course, our main concern. While we had discussed safety measures and social distancing practices, the limit on large scale indoor gatherings was an insurmountable challenge. At it stands today, the maximum number of 200 people is just not enough to warrant producing a show of our size. Waiting for the possibility of attendance restrictions to be lifted, or eased, was unfortunately not an option, given the necessary lead time required to organize this event. We remain optimistic that by early 2021, things will be less uncertain surrounding Covid-19, and we will be able to begin organizing the quality of show that you have all come to expect and deserve. We appreciate your understanding, and will continue to stay connected. We've all experienced an unprecedented disruption to our daily lives, and many of us have had to redefine how we live, work, and play. So here's to more positive times ahead, and we look forward to seeing you at Brides 2022 - Atlantic Canada's Largest Wedding Show!
