Located on the Melville Ridge Retirement Campus, Melville Gardens is a 91 unit facility, with 60 beds licensed by the NS Dept of Health as Level 1 Residential Care, while the remaining 31 beds are licensed as a Level 2 Nursing Home. The residential care units in Melville Gardens are an ideal place to live for someone who wishes to maintain as much of their independence as possible, but may require
some supervision or assistance to perform their activities of daily living. Residents of Melville Gardens are engaged and involved with their neighbors as they take part in the daily activities of the Recreation Program. For their convenience there is also a hair salon, library and a multi-denominational chapel in the facility. Healthy meals and snacks are all prepared under the direction of our nutritionist and are enjoyed in the beautifully decorated dining area. Melville Gardens is a licensed by the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness and all admisisons, whether they are for the Residential Care or Nursing Care units, are gained through their Single Entry System (SES).
