Beachcombing With Mom is back!

What better way to spend quality time with mom than walking our beautiful beach at Sprucewood shores with a glass of wine, looking for the perfect materials to make your Beach Glass & Shell Art!

Get in touch with nature and your creative self to create a special memory with Mom this Mother’s Day weekend at Sprucewood Shores Choose from 2 days. Saturday May 11th or Sunday May 12th 2024 from 1pm – 3pm.

Begin your Mother’s Day experience with a glass of wine as you walk down to our sandy beach to search for your beach glass, shells and other treasures you will use to create your unique artwork.

The beach is abundant with many different colours of glass swept to the shore from storms and waves so there is plenty for everyone.

Head back to the winery with your treasures! Your picture frame and all the supplies you need will be waiting for you.

Sherri from Neptune Treasures will be there to instruct you. Sherri and her dog Bear walk our beach daily. She is a local beach glass artist, photographer and wine enthusiast!

You are welcome to purchase more wine or food as needed.

Each ticket includes:

1 glass of wine (red or white)

1 shadowbox frame to create your beach glass art to take home

All supplies and instruction needed.

Bonding time with mom…. Priceless!

Happy International Women’s Day. A big shout out to our winemaker Tanya Mitchell. Tanya Mitchell has been the Winemaker since its inception as a Winery in 2004, shortly after attaining a degree in Chemical Engineering at McMaster University and garnering experience making wine around the world.

Tanya’s winemaking philosophy has developed in to one that is strongly influenced by her technical and experience based background and an understanding that wine is an artistic expression. Her focus is on delivering a balance of minerality, acidity, fruit, and finesse in her wines. Tanya strives to always produce a quality driven and versatile list of wines that suit a range of tastes.

Embrace winter at Sprucewood! The pond may be frozen, but the fire and mulled wine will warm you up. Bring your skates, the kids and your dog too! We will have hot chocolate for the kids too. Don’t forget to watch for the muskrat swimming under the ice! Such a delight.

A heartfelt Thank You to all the Cottage guests that have stayed at The Cottage at Lake Erie for the year 2021! I am forever grateful for meeting and getting to know my guests this year! Our Beach Hut is opening tomorrow!

Friday to Sundays 11am-5pm we will have our new Beach Hut to serve you RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Now you will be able to get wine/beer, sangria, and food to enjoy at a picnic table anywhere on our grounds! Can’t wait to see you all!
