I was fortunate enough to travel through Europe last month. So many beautiful cities but I think the spots in Alsace were my favourite. My father's people were from this region and my soul felt at home. This is the city of Colmar! Photos do not do it justice! The smells of the bakeries and the cafe's, the sounds of clinking of glasses as people enjoy the regional wine. The friendly shop keepers who are delighted to greet you and show you their wares. Not a Costco or jammed parking lot in site. This is how it should be done.

This is how I used to pack, until I started travelling with my mom. Why? Cause this is also how she packs. And I have to carry luggage. My last trip with her to Walt Disney World for a week and I managed with a carry on and a personal item for myself. How about you? Do you pack light?
