Over the past several years, Tent Party has organically grown from a generic - albeit massive – homecoming kegger into an enormous electronic dance party the likes of which a Canadian University has never seen. Set in a tented parking lot masterfully transformed into a super club, Tent Party has quickly become an event that thousands of University Students, alumni and residents of London anticipat
e annually. Tent party began to take its current form in 2008, when a handful of local electronic acts including Poupon (then Golden Gloves) and Autoerotique (then VNDLSM) became the main attraction. In 2009, internationally recognized artists Tommy Sunshine and Felix Cartal headlined the event, and with greater production value and greater attendance, the full potential of Tent Party was obvious to everyone. In 2010 that potential was reached when over 4,000 attendees were absolutely blown away by Deadmau5. The sophisticated production, including smoke, lasers, LED screens and an impressive sound system, created an atmosphere akin to an upscale club in Las Vegas or Ibiza. Okay, fair play, you aren’t my hometown… but DAMN you guys made me feel like it was… makes me glad to come from Ontario to see insanity like that!”. For 2011, the masterminds behind Tent Party plan to outdo themselves once again. Tent Party London will be a two-day festival featuring a handful of the largest electronic acts the world has to offer. As if that wasn’t enough, for the very first time Tent Party will be travelling abroad to Montreal to bring the same unique experience to the famed Montreal Allstar weekend. There is no question that Tent Party will continue to exceed everyone’s expectations.
