We are a small design office offering conscientious professional services to residential and institutional clients for projects ranging from the uncommon to the everyday. We follow each project from initial desire to conception and concrete results, providing our clients with professional guidance at each step along the way. In place of ready-made stylistic solutions we offer a creati

ve attitude, a professional relationship, and an invitation to participate in the full architectural experience. We always begin with the material at hand - the needs and character of the client, the existing conditions and the project requirements. Good design requires attentiveness. Attentiveness to the silent power of the ordinary, to the underlying forces of the project, to the unspoken motives and expectations of the client, to the ineffable nature of the work, to the values and ideals rooted in our fundamental way of being. Good work can only come to light through listening and thinking, through direct and apt responses to the immediate situation.

A before and after of a house
More than skin deep
The old-fashioned look was brought up to date with new cladding, a new roof, and a new red door while, in behind, persistent problems of cold air and water infiltration were solved with new insulation, an air barrier, and a properly drained rain screen wall.
