We visited one of our favorite attractions in Northern Ontario last weekend! The Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat is the largest polar bear sanctuary in the WORLD. They offer a home for polar bears that is as close to the wild as the human care setting will allow. They are the only facility that is dedicated purely to the care of the bears, allowing them to live very long in captivity. Behind the scenes tours are available and we highly recommend. If you live in Northern Ontario, it would be a missed opportunity not to go check out the bears and support a great cause! 🐻‍❄️

🌷🥚 Every holiday has its traditions, and the most memorable ones are those created around the family table. In Croatia, Easter breakfast is the most important meal that cannot go without ham, spring onion and hard-boiled eggs, and the queen of the holiday table – Pinca - a sweet, fragrant bread, traditionally made at Easter time. 🥚🌷

🐣 Pinca is prepared throughout Croatia and of course, almost every family has its own secret recipe that is passed down from generation to generation. It is assumed that this delicacy originates from the era of the Venetian Republic. Pinca was traditionally made from white flour, eggs, sugar, milk, and fat, with grated lemon or orange peel, rum, and a local dessert wine, Prošek, which was added to the dough.🐣

🪺🐰 Today, many Croatian families still cherish the tradition of taking Pinca to the church for blessing on Holy Saturday, along with other food served on Easter, and giving it to loved ones as a sign of good wishes. 🐰🪺
