The Twilight Jazz Series is presented by JADE (Juliet Amanda Dunn Entertainment) and the Shea D Duo (Peter Shea + Juliet Dunn) and was founded in 2011. They are now in their 3rd season at Mahtay Café and Lounge and have brought over 70 jazz ensembles and over 100 jazz musicians to the Twilight Stage. Some past performers include: Kevin Turcotte, Mark Lalama, Mike Murley, Kevin Breit, Jim Casson, Barbra Lica, Reg Schwager, Alistair Robertson, the Heavyweights Brass Band, Rodger Niznik, Bill McBirnie, Ashley St. Pierre and many more.
The Niagara Jazz Festival aims to expand and inspire the entire Niagara Region as it grows in the years to come with its vision of live music and life. It hopes to educate and cultivate a committed jazz audience by fusing the live jazz experience with the Niagara experience: weekend getaways, fine dining, vineyards, craft breweries, theatre, nature trails, boutiques, galleries and more. With a multi-venue series of live jazz events, the festival offers preeminent Canadian and internationally acclaimed jazz musicians via concerts, educational initiatives, activities and free events.
