The Tanglewood Beach House is centrally located on beautiful Vancouver Island, between Nanaimo and Qualicum Beach, only minutes driving distance from Parksville. It’s nestled in the cozy neighborhood of Tanglewood which borders the old growth forest of Rathtrevor Provincial Park. When staying at the Beach House you’ll enjoy private access to a magnificent two-kilometer stretch of wide, sandy beach. Tanglewood is one of the few properties along Resort Drive in Parksville to enjoy their own access to Rathtrevor Beach. A short stroll on a paved beach walkway will take you to the ocean, which at low tide recedes over a kilometer. The beach provides an ideal place for walks, play and exploration along the shoreline. About The Tanglewood Beach House
This 1150 square foot Beach House is situated all on one level for stair-free living with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full gourmet kitchen, dining area and living room. The open plan creates a relaxed atmosphere and beech wood floors extend throughout to create a low allergen environment. The Tanglewood Beach House boasts a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with gas cook top, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and full-size refrigerator with freezer. Outfitted with all the pots, pans, serving dishes, appliances and utensils you’ll need to cook a gourmet meal or to put together tapas on the long granite island. There are so many amazing grocery stores, markets and food shops in the area, it is easy to relax, restore and enjoy amazing local food and drink. You’ll find beer glasses chilling in the freezer, as well as wine glasses, martini glasses and shaker in the cupboards. The dining table comfortably seats six for a meal. Serving dishes, napkins and placemats make setting the table easy and elegant. The vaulted ceilings and windows offer beautiful views of the Fir, Cedar and Arbutus trees just outside the double French doors that open onto the patio and the majestic old growth forest of Rathtrevor Provincial Park. The private outdoor patio is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or the afternoon sun. Its set up with chairs, table, umbrella and a large natural gas barbeque with side burner for outdoor entertaining. The large back lawn is a great place to enjoy kicking around a ball or kicking back and enjoying a beverage. The open living area inside offers plenty of space to relax and unwind. The window seat next to the gas fireplace is the perfect spot to enjoy a lazy morning with a book or to watch the local deer that drop by, as if on cue. Stretch out on the leather sofa and enjoy the 50” UHD Smart television. You are welcome to log into the Smart TV with your Netflix account and enjoy your personal favorites or bring along your DVD library. There are blankets and a hot air popcorn popper to set you up for a snuggly movie night in. The Main Bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and the Second Bedroom has a queen size bed, dressed in fine cotton linens, extra pillows and down duvets. There is plenty of closet space with wooden hangers and plush bathrobes in each bedroom closet to enjoy during your stay. Comfort and solitude are yours! If you feel like tucking in for the evening, the Main Bedroom has the added feature of a wall mounted 42” LCD television. Both bathrooms have spacious showers, heated floors and are stocked with hand soap, shower gel and plump towels. Take time to light some candles and linger in the Main Bathroom's deep soaking tub. Make a date for some seaside relaxation. Enjoy private access to a magnificent two-kilometer stretch of wide, sandy beach. A short stroll on a paved beach walkway will take you to the ocean, which at low tide recedes almost a kilometer. This world-renowned Rathtrevor Beach is an ideal place for exploring and provides an opportunity to play and create in the sand. The water is calm and the seashells plentiful. Take a book and recline, build sandcastles or roast marshmallows over an open fire on the beach. We have roasting sticks in the storage room and a wagon to get everything to the beach. When the tide rolls in over the sunbaked sand, the warmed water is unbeatable for swimming and saltwater fun. We also have folding beach chairs, kites, a cooler and sandcastle forms for some quality beach time.
