We are opening at 10 despite the local power outage!

We have a backup generator which keeps our lights and pumps on during an outage.

That means keep our creatures alive and happy almost indefinitely.

But more importantly we can still have public come to visit!!!

Our newest guests in the aquarium are a couple of unusual white anemones. We are waiting to see them when they open up, but it might be an example of leucism. Leucism is when an organism does not have the full ability to make its normal pigments.

There are lots of possible causes but it is most likely genetic (white mammals like white moose are more likely to be leucitic than albino—which is the complete inability to make melanin).

Come on by we open at 10 and last admission is at 4.
