ouver Island’s South Western Shores. We depart from Salty Towers Ocean Front Cottages on Sooke Harbour aboard our 12-passenger 500 H.P. We will explore the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Southern Vancouver Island’s dramatic, windswept coastline on our quest to encounter Transient Killer Whales (Orcas); Humpbacks, Minke, & Gray Whales as well as White Sided Dolphins. But that’s not all; we will also introduce you to a variety of smaller marine mammals and sea birds. You will view Harbor Seals, Steller and California Sea Lions, all in their natural environments. Bird enthusiasts are treated to bald eagles in action, hunting and nesting, in addition to many species of other native marine birds. From the invigorating salt-filled ocean air to the ever-changing seascapes, our marine and eco-adventure tours are sure to become the most memorable part of your visit to beautiful Sooke.

While you were sleeping - another epic night of Aurora again from Whiffen Spit, Sooke.

Thanks to Raj Deepak for feeding me all the positive numbers yesterday, which motivated me to go out on a Sunday night with a busy work day Monday. I haven't had much time to edit, but this 6 frame pano with my new Rokinon 14 mm 2.8, caught my eye. For about 5 minutes when the storm hit KP 7 levels, the sky really lit up. Can you spot the big dipper amongst the vibrant columns?
