It would seem I should be making an introduction post. If any of you were fortunate enough to have any interaction with Rose Coker, you would know how much thought and care she put into Twilly House. It speaks to how the beautiful rugged landscape, and welcoming sense of community can draw in people in from far away. Twillingate truly is a special place!

I feel very blessed to have purchased Twilly House from Rose this past December. I live in Nova Scotia with my beautiful wife and our three wonderful children. I have been a business owner for the past 20 years and when time allows it, I enjoy mashing buttons on my camera and hoping I fluke a good photo. Some of my photography can be viewed at http://monoart.ca if you’re curious of the results of said button mashing.

My wife is originally from Newfoundland, and her father, Wallace (Wally) Clarke, is originally from Durrell. Or as he would say, “from down da arm”. Did I do that right? Didn’t think so. My introduction to Twillingate was many years ago now, and visiting each summer has been the highlight of my annual vacation on the rock.

We’ve made some changes to the property, upgrading the home while being careful to respect its character. At 115 years old, these walls tell a story! We’ll start to share some updated photos of the property in the coming days. For those of you staying at Twilly House this season, we hope you enjoy this magical place as much as we do!
