Sorry, my send finger engaged before my edit finger, it's always the right time for social knitting. This time at Stitchin Den in Estes Park, Colorado. What a great way to meet local and visiting people with same interest. Today's knitters from Florida, Arizona, Texas and Estes Park. Note yellow and orange snake scarf soon to be prop for opera. Dinner tonight at Italian restaurant. Food delicious.

This door on the 14th floor of a high rise is the entry to a magic kingdom for knitters. Yarn from sheep, yarn from goats yarn from silkworms and even yarn from sugar cane. After some serious yarn purchasing time knitters and NKCs stop for food and refreshments. Approaching the US Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor.

Yesterday's hike Alger to Oyster Dome, Washington State, 17KM. Soggy day, but rain stopped just as we arrived at trailhead. We didn't get the view from the top, but the scenery along the trail made up for it. Sun even tried to make an appearance when we arrived back at the parking lot. Thank you Gail Newell for taking these pictures and letting me share them.

Sunday, 1900h check in airport hotel Vancouver for early morning flight to Austin
2000h receive message flight has been cancelled
2200h give up on trying to reach airline to change flights
Monday 0300h arrive at airport check-in desk in time for opening
explain my sad plight, much waiting, anxiety and trying to remain polite
Monday 0625h arrive at gate in time to board flight to Houston
1325h arrive in Houston and met by friends who have made drive from Austin to meet our flight and drive us to Austin ... A 6 hour return drive.

Willie here we come.

Next plane for Vancouver leaving from Gate 36 Toronto Pearson airport. Another middle seat in a jammed full flight, but it is a seat. Fingers crossed,next stop Vancouver. Knitting probably about same as last report, can't seem to remember increases.

0400h Bilbao hotel
0515h bus trip to airport
0600h no Lufthansa flight bumped to Air France flight to Paris
0930h arrive Paris low cloud no view of Eiffel Tower spend next half hour becoming acquainted with underbelly of CDG as miss stop for Air Canada Terminal and go round for second try.
1020h no luck upgrading seat, no luck moving out of middle seat, many displaced passengers grabbing what they can.
Waiting for flight to board to Toronto.
Hugo poncho mistakes corrected and now back to where it was when I landed in Bilbao!
