Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Don’t forget to say “Bà ba, wǒ ài nǐ” ( in Chinese ) to dad today and everyday! This brief but impactful phrase says it all. Saying “我愛你” (I love you) is a universal way to express your love to your father on this special day ❤️

MING WO COOKWARE STORE was founded in Vancouver Chinatown in 1917. It started as a hardware store servicing The Vancouver Chinese Community. Throughout the years until 2020, Ming Wo evolved to be a specialty store featuring quality cookware merchandise for both the professional & amateur cooks. It was truly destination Chinatown shopping!!

Have you tried this Chinese dessert - Jiandui ? ✨

JIANDUI also known as sesame balls, are a type of fried Chinese pastry made from glutinous rice flour. Coated with sesame seeds on the outside, they become crisp and chewy right after frying. The interior features a large hollow space, created by the expansion of the dough during cooking. The filling can be sesame paste, red bean paste, or brown sugar, and when eaten hot, the filling has a lava-like texture that oozes out when you bite into it. 🥢 ✨
