Africa Celebrates 2024 kicked off with the west African regional event in Lagos, Nigeria at La Campagne Tropicana Forest & Beach Resort 13th May. It was 3 days extravaganza that culminated to the final event which presented dance, music, fashion & cuisines from the 15 west African countries. UNVEILING AFRICA CELEBRATES 2024. Africa Celebrates and its partners have the pleasure of unveiling the 2024 edition of Africa's biggest Pan African event of Arts, Culture, Heritage, Tech & Business . Africa Celebrates is aimed at celebrating Africa’s unity in diversity by encouraging economic, social and political integration of Africa through promoting intra-Africa's rich art, culture, heritage, trade, investment, science and technology transfers which can be explored as a catalyst for realizing a prosperous Africa. It is also to encourage Africans and the rest of the world to patronize made in Africa by eating African food, wearing African clothes, watching African films, appreciating African arts, crafts, music, dance and other African products and services. It’s also to promote African tourism with the goal of supporting and empowering women and youths in creating wealth. Last year, Africa Celebrates welcomed the participation of 38 African countries and 11 countries from abroad

Joyce Hilda Banda, former President of Malawi. Music was by Nigerian music start - Olakira of the Meserati fame.

Africa Celebrates 2023 - Two days 'Made in Africa Exhibition'. Over 21 countries exhibited products made in their various countries.

Africa Celebrates is organized and packaged by Legendary Gold Limited in collaboration with the African Union who doubles as host partner, Embassies of Nigeria & Burundi to Ethiopia, Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Africa Tourism Board and US delegation to the African Union. Pristine Marketing Group and Studio 1888 are the local Ethiopian co-organizers. Other partners are Africa for Africa Women Conference, J4ward Global, Design Essentials, Fufi’s salon & spa, Mayalz Events, Kana Tv, Art Tv, Kenniz Fm, Global Green Development Group, 20 October Institute for Arts & Entertainment, Etiquette Global Services, Habesha, Malaika African Restaurant and Platinum Entertainment Producers. Ethiopian Airlines and Skylight hotel are official airline and hotel respectively.

The Executive Board of Africa Celebrates and its partners are honoured to announce Burundi as an official partner. In addition, Amb W***y Nyamitwe, the Ambassador of Burundi to Ethiopia has been appointed Patron of Africa Celebrates.

According to Amb Nyamitwe, “In my capacity as the Ambassador of Burundi and Permanent Representative to the African Union, I decided to play an important role in promoting African culture through Africa Celebrates, because this special event organised yearly in Addis Ababa by Legendary Gold Limited with the support of the African Union, Embassy of Nigeria, Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and others is a timely opportunity to celebrate the Unity of Africans through their cultural and artistic diversity. This gathering of African film makers both from the continent and the diaspora aims to revolutionize the African storytelling landscape, fostering unity, and leveraging on the trans-formative power of the African rich cultural values to drive social and economic progress.

Afro Film Alliance has the primary goal of uniting African filmmakers as a collective force by harnessing the power of cinema to showcase our diverse cultures, rich heritage, and breathtaking tourism locations. Through collaborative efforts, the AFA project seeks to provide a platform for African filmmakers to tell African inspired stories, bridging gaps and fostering unity in the film industry across the continent. By promoting cross-national and cross-continental collaborations in storytelling, AFA intends to challenge stereotypes by using film to change the negative narrative often portrayed by non-Africans about Africa. AFA will include panel, workshop & film screening
