hloe Frijole’ was built for comfort and speed. Powered by twin 140hp 4-stroke Suzuki’s. Custom T-top made extra long for maximum shade. Outriggers, Rocket Launchers on T-top and 5 rod holders in the gunwales. VHF, Stereo with Bluetooth. Garmin GPS and top of the line Shimano fishing gear. The ‘Chloe Frijole’ is equipped for bottom fishing, trolling, diving, and even sunset booze cruises. Custom made ladder for easy access in and out of the boat. Fishing offshore out of Marina Pez Vela in Quepos, Costa Rica is spectacular almost year round. Our prime fishing season begins in December and lasts through May. Bill fishing is at it's best during that time, and it is common to have between 20 and 45 Sailfish bites per day. On some occasions during prime season we have experienced over 75 bites per day! While targeting Sailfish it is not unlikely to see a Marlin come up in the spread. The MahiMahi are abundant and we have caught some nice Wahoo during our fishing trips as well. Offshore Fishing is available on the 57ft Spencer, the 'Tranquilo'. Inshore and Offshore fishing is available on our 33ft Panga, the 'ChloeFrijole'. The 'Tranquilo:

Specifically built for tournament and charter fishing in the Pacific, this custom Carolina boat has everything you need. Top of the line electronics, Shimano Talica Billfish Concept Reels, SquidNation dredges and teasers, a full bathroom, two staterooms (4 beds total). The boat is equipped with a water maker, ice maker, air condition and hot water. Our Costa Rican crew is bilingual and have many years of experience fishing the local waters. The Tranquilo truly is the premier charter boat in Costa Rica! The inshore fishing is phenomenal during the prime season as well. Snapper, large Snook, and the highly sought after Roosterfish, can be caught inshore during a charter on the 33ft 'Chloe Frijole'. The rainy season in our region is typically mid June through October, but the great fishing never ends! Another option during the so called 'off- season' is the bottom fishing. There are great locations just offshore loaded with Grouper, Snapper, and a species similar to Tilefish. Pacific Sailfish- Common Year Round. Inhabits tropical and subtropical waters near land masses, usually in depths over 6 fathoms. Pelagic and migratory, sailfish usually travel in groups. Current All Tackle Record - 221 lbs. Black Marlin - A highly rated game fish, the black marlin has the power, size, and persistence of which anglers dream. Current All Tackle Record - 1560 lbs. Striped Marlin - Found in tropical and warm temperate waters of the Indian and Pacific oceans, the striped marlin is pelagic and seasonally migratory, moving toward the equator during the cold season and away again during the warm season. Current All Tackle Record - 494 lbs. Blue Marlin - Caught Year Round with peak season of June - October This pelagic and migratory species occurs in tropical and warm temperate oceanic waters. A powerful, aggressive fighter, they run hard and long, sound deep, and leap high into the air in a seemingly inexhaustible display of strength. Current All Tackle Record - 1376 lbs. 0 ounces. MahiMahi/Dorado - Available year round. Great for instant ceviche on the boat! Found worldwide in tropical and warm temperate seas, the dolphinfish is pelagic, schooling, and migratory. Current All Tackle Record - 87 lbs. 0 ounces. Yellowfin Tuna - Available Year Round. Occurs worldwide in deep, warm temperate oceanic waters. It is both pelagic and seasonally migratory, but has been known to come fairly close to shore. It is highly esteemed both as a sport fish and as table fare. Ready to eat right away sashimi style with soy sauce and wasabi. Current All Tackle Record - 405 lbs

Snook - Some of the largest Snook I have ever seen have been caught inshore and close to Marina Pez Vela. A fun and delicious catch! Current All Tackle Record - 53 lbs. Wahoo - Not as common as most species, but caught every once and a while. Found worldwide in tropical and warm temperate seas, Pelagic and seasonally migratory. There are indications of seasonal concentrations off the Pacific coasts of Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Baja California in the summer months. Current All Tackle Record - 184 lbs. Roosterfish - An exciting catch available year round, but predominantly in prime fishing months. Occurs in the eastern Pacific Ocean from the Gulf of California to Peru. An in shore species, it is found in the surf, over sandy bottoms, and in moderate depths. When hooked or in pursuit of prey it will raise its dorsal fin like a flag and leap repeatedly. Current All Tackle Record - 114 lbs. Red Snapper - There are over a dozen types of snappers available in our waters. One of the most common is the red snapper. Adults are more plentiful offshore in 60 to 440 ft of water associated with rough, rocky bottoms and wrecks. Current All Tackle Record - 50 lbs 4 oz

Grouper - Many Grouper Species are found just off the coast! When hooked grouper are dogged opponents that must be turned quickly before they retreat to cover. Current All Tackle Record (Goliath Grouper) - 680 lbs.
