We went hiking in St Catherine wadis (valleys) in wadi Talaa, impressive & huge rocks formations, beet el raheb garden, and had a guided visit in St Catherine monastery
Then we head to Nweibaa to chill by the sea .

Saint Catherine Monastery

We visited, during last week hike, the monastery and the church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which was built at the same time, AD 565.

The monastery is the world’s oldest continuously inhabited Christian monastery.
The site also holds the world’s oldest continually operating library, with unique or extremely rare works, such as the Codex Sinaiticus,

The monastery is at the base of Mount Sinai.

(Sad Daoud - The Red Mountain - Nweibaa)

After the hike we will head to Nweibaa to enjoy the sea and chill

* leaving Cairo 03 Oct 6PM
* Reaching St Catherine town
* Friday morning; start hiking through Talaa then Sad Daoud (around 5-6 hrs) till reaching El-Shaq, where we will spend the night in mountains
* Saturday morning; Summit the Red Mountain, hike down to Catherine town (around 8 hrs), then head to Nweibaa
* Sunday enjoy the sea till 2PM then start to head back to Cairo
* Should reach Cairo Sunday 06 Oct by 11PM

We encounter many fruit trees, flowers and plants while hiking in Sinai,

Gardens in the mountains are well marked and maintained by locals, still many plants and trees grow by themselves along valleys totally depending on rains.

Local tribes grow a lot of knowledge along years on medical usage and recipes using every part of these plants.

Here we can see almond, walnut, raisin, fig, Kharoub trees and other interesting plants and flowers.

During the last long weekend of ShamElNessim, we had our last hiking trips of the season (Hike & Swim);

The first hiking trip summited Bab-ElDonia to enjoy a view over ElDonia (The World), a challenging 30KM hike over 2 days, 1800m total ascent.

The second group combined hiking with painting,, painting in the mountains (with .art ), an experience that we are definitely going to repeat.

The third group summited Gabal Abbas and enjoyed views over Catherine.

Later all groups head to Nweibaa to chill by the Sea 🌊 , a well deserved break.

We will stay active during summer break.

On Eeid vacation, we went hiking across Sinai beautiful valleys, we hiked Wadi Esla, one of the oldest trail in Sinai used for trade, between Catherine monastery area and the Red Sea (El-Tor port)

Enjoyable scenery along the way, getting out from the mountains we stopped by the sea 🌊 to chill before returning to Cairo

During the long weekend of Labor Day and Easter, we will be heading to St. Catherine area for a beautiful hike followed by a lovely day by the sea in Nuweibaa.

After summiting we will head to Ras Mohamed protectorate 🌊🐚 to enjoy a well deserved break and chillin time by the beach

40 KM over 2.5 days from mountains to the sea, in one of the most marvelous valleys of Sinai, the historical trade route connecting the center of the peninsula (Catherine town) to El-Tor port

- Round trip from and back to Cairo
