“Jewels of the Desert. The Magic of Egyptian Arabians” is a publication from July 30, 2009 devoted to Arabian horses – an album edition by Judith Wich, a German journalist and well-known photographer, recognizable in the “Arabian” community around the world, collaborating mainly with German magazines, but also with many international magazines. So far, she has managed to circle the world with her camera several times! The author treats expeditions to the Middle East in a special way. Privately, she breeds horses with pure Egyptian pedigrees in her Orienta Arabians stud, to which she also dedicates part of the album.

The book opens with a foreword by Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Khaled Bin Hamad Al-Thani from the Al Rayyan stud in Qatar: “Arabian horses have won many hearts around the world. In recent years, we have also observed a huge increase in interest in Arabian horses in the countries of the Persian Gulf. For thousands of years, we have lived side by side: people and horses. The Egyptian Arabian horse is a record of the past, a true treasure that we can enjoy even today.” Another person of great merit for Arabian horse breeding who introduces the reader to the mood of the album is Judith Forbis (Ansata Arabians, USA). She writes: “Inspiration for artists, writers and photographers is given by many topics, but here is a passion that can be expressed.”
