Fuerteventura, the European Caribbean!

After the pick-up we board the boat in Playa Blanca that takes us to Fuerteventura. Leaving Corralejo our first stop will be at one of the finest Aloe Vera plantations on the island. We continue south passing The Holy Mountain of "Tindaya", where traces of the ancient population were found. Then we go to the island’s first capital, Betancuria with its church and a history worth seeing. We will stop along the mountain of Betancuria to see the ground squirrels and enjoy the breathtaking views. Passing the beautiful village of Pajara and Antigua we reach the Valley of Saint Agnes were you have the possibility of having Lunch*. Before coming back to Corralejo, we will stop at the famous sand dunes on the northeastern shores of the island for a photo opportunity. Then we catch the boat back to Lanzarote.

Timanfaya National Park, also known as Fire Mountains is the most visited place on the island of Lanzarote, and the route of the volcanoes within Timanfaya National Park is one of the most outstanding activities to do on the island. In addition to volcanoes route inside Timanfaya, you can first watch the geothermal demonstrations on Hilario Island and you can also enjoy a camel ride in Timanfaya (optional).

We make a stop for lunch* in Mancha Blanca next to Los Dolores church, the patron saint of Lanzarote, in the village of Yaiza.

At Papagayo we anchor in a sheltered bay and it is time to take to the water. One way in is to go down the slide, fun for adults and children alike. With our snorkeling equipment, the kids can see the life under the water, and spot many different fish.

After picking you up, our excursion starts in the volcanic heart of Lanzarote where we enjoy the lava landscapes of Timanfaya National Park, also known as Fire Mountains, one of the most important natural parks in Canary Islands and which, without a doubt, will leave you surprised. In Timanfaya National Park, also known as Fire Mountains, we make Route of the Volcanoes: a guided excursion by bus to the center of the park where we see its craters, volcanic landscapes and where we know the history of this beautiful land and one of the symbols of Lanzarote.
Timanfaya has about 25 volcanoes in its entire extension and although there are no eruptions nowadays, there is still a strong latent volcanic activity. This scenery of unique shapes and contours and sublime beauty is sure to leave a deep impression on your retina.
We continue our half-day excursion towards Islote de Hilario where we see the geothermal spectacles in which the earth emanates the heat still persisting from the last eruptions. César Manrique Tour

Discover the work of a genius: "César Manrique", his home and source of inspiration integrated into a lava bubble, and other wonders created by this artist that have made Lanzarote such a unique and special island.

In the center of the island Cesar turns a simple quarry into a homage to agricultural work: the Monumento al Campesino (Farmers’ Monument) after this visit, the way leads through the old capital Teguise to the Valleys.

Our next stop surprises us with beautiful views over the Valley of Thousand Palms, the Corona Volcano and the coast with its villages. We cross the village of Haría and visit El Mirador del Rio (the Viewpoint of the River) transformed by the Lanzarotenian artist and from where we enjoy the view of Chinijo Archipelago.

We descend via the Corona Volcano and visit one of the most impressive caves on the island: Jameos del Agua. Volcanic nature, always present in the work of Manrique, is discovered with the visit to the beautiful Jardín de Cactus (Cactus Garden), the last work of this genius to be opened.

We save for last the visit to The Cesar Manrique Foundation, his home and his inspiration. The house is perfectly integrated into the surrounding lava. Return to the hotel.
