BOLONIA with its roman ruins BAELO CLAUDIA (15 minutes driving by car) is an ancient Roman town situated on the northern shore of the Strait of Gibraltar. The town was founded in the end of the 2nd century BC as a result of trade with North Africa. Its history lies in the trade routes serving Europe and North Africa - the town's strategic position on the coast near the Straits of Gibraltar made it a crucial stopping-off point between the two continents. The ruins of Baelo Claudia, with its impressive temple, forum and basilica, and especially the large fish-salting factory, show how important the town was. TARIFA is 30 a minutes drive which is a vibrant coastal town in Andalusia, popular with windsurfers and kite surfers. The small fishing town of Tarifa features narrow cobbled streets, traditional white houses. You can enjoy a very nice atmosphere there. From Tarifa, you can go to TANGIER, and its famous zoo via ferry. It only takes 30 minutes. GIBRALTAR( one our driving).
