Travel Ethiopia has launched its first Toastmasters meeting on October 26, 2016.

Toastmasters is a non-profit, educational organization that aims at developing member’s leadership as well as public speaking skills. It has more than 345,000 members worldwide in 142 countries.

Currently, there are six Toastmasters clubs in Addis Ababa. Travel Ethiopia’s Toastmasters club was initiated due to efforts and inspiration from Travel Ethiopia’s Managing Director, Samrawit Moges, who has served as a member of several Toastmasters clubs in Addis Ababa.

Recognizing the immense benefits Toastmasters render for personal and professional development, Samrawit sought to launch a club for Travel Ethiopia's employees.
The club members meet twice a month, on Wednesday between 12:30AM to 01:30PM at Travel Ethiopia’s office.

Since its inception, there have been six extraordinary sessions with the number of members steadily increasing.
Non-employees of Travel Ethiopia are also invited to participate as guests.

The mission of Travel Ethiopia’s Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth.
