Did you know this?

The earliest, most complete, and the original version of the Bible is found in Ethiopia. Ge'ez, an early Ethiopian language, was written on goat skin. It is also World’s first illustrated Christian Bible.

According to legend, Abba Garima, who came from Constantinople in 494 AD, was able to write the Gospels in a single day because God delayed the sun from setting. The Ethiopian bible dating analysis dated Garima 2 to be written around 390-570, and Garima 1 from 530-660.

During the Italian invasion, fire was set in the monastery in the 1930s to destroy the monastery’s church nevertheless the Bible survived.

Ethiopian 🇪🇹Ge'ez alphabets with their corresponding sound. It is a unique African alphabet in use until now. Unlike English, Arabic or Hebrew each voice that is used in Ge'ez (or in local languages in Amharic, Tigrigna, Guragigna...) is represented with a unique alphabet when written. Moreover, the shape of the alphabets are full of art and so catchy.

WORLD CUP UPDATES: Moroccan Coach, Walid Regragui is aiming to become Africa’s first World Cup semi-finalists today.

Walid told reporters on Friday that his side is hoping to make history in Qatar and that the team is energized by the huge amount of support they're getting.

“We want to show that Africa deserves to be here, Morocco deserves to be here.

We have a whole people behind us, a continent behind us, and the Arab world behind us. That's a lot of energy behind us. We're going to try and do everything we can.

We can do it, we can make history again. It (the support) can push us, help us actually to play with this pressure, not to make any mistakes".

😲 Are you surprised this happened?

A woman pretended to give birth on board a plane in destination to the island of Palma de Mallorca, leading to an emergency landing at a Barcelona airport on Thursday, reported Spanish media outlets.

The commercial flight took off from Casablanca to Istanbul. After an hour and a half of travel, while flying over Spanish territory, the cabin crew alerted the pilots that one of the passengers requires an emergency health service.
The pilots decided to land at the nearest airport at Barcelona’s El Prat airport to make an emergency landing so that the woman could receive appropriate medical services.
A total of 28 people took the advantage of the emergency medical protocol to flee the flight, reported Spanish media outlets.
