Handmade in Helsinki, Finland. NANNANDA jewellery are unique, handmade pieces made mainly from recycled materials found from random places. Old coins fallen from Indian dancer's clothing, broken belt parts abandoned on the dance floor, flea market treasures, animal bones found from Siberia's forests - everywhere is the next treasure waiting to be discovered. Every piece is created out of intuition
guided by planet Venus, the force of creativity, beauty and love. NANNANDA comes from the words Nanna, Hanna's childhood nickname, and ananda, a sanskrit word meaning "bliss". As such Ananda's meaning can be said to be "great joy" or "great happiness". NANNANDA is Hanna's creative project where everything is allowed, a personal meditation and liberation of the critical mind. "NANNANDA is to me about creative flow in its many forms, jewellery being only one of them. NANNANDA will be my lifetime project, not only a trend following brand but a channel to express my inner multidimensional universe. a magical world of unlimited ideas!"
NANNANDA is about feeling strong and beautiful, reflecting experiences and emotions, a way of living. Most of all it is about love and freedom - empower yourself!

Making of a unique 100 % recycled necklace for the evenings charity design auction tonight at Design Forum. All NANNANDA pieces are handmade by the designer Hanna Ruax in Helsinki, Finland! Not in India, Mexico or Africa as many times thought.
