Over the last few years we have had to embrace change, adapting both by choice and necessity.

We have used the opportunity to look back on all our experience, focus on our passions and create something that encompasses them all.

We are thrilled to announce that our journey has brought us full circle and we once again have Chalet Chambertin as our sole focus.

This lovely chalet is now the heart of what we do. Mountain Mavericks will continue as the agency managing bookings, but Chambertin is where the experience will happen.

We have always been deeply grateful that you trust us with your precious leisure time and we still love creating great mountain experiences.

We recognise that the mountains can have a profound impact on the human spirit and want to create a sanctuary where people can reconnect with nature, recharge their spirits, and build lasting memories through shared adventures.

Our love for sharing our snowy adventures is as strong as ever, but we are now doing it on a more intimate scale, where we can be more adaptable to ensuring every detail is just as you like.

Thank you for being a part of our journey, we are looking forward to welcoming you at Chambertin.

We got some snow. Bit of a murky day, but hey we got some snow. Glad got up to represent and ride for Jake, though a little hot chocolate (with Cointreau) helped keep the extremities warm.

Col de Coux is at the head of the Valle de la Manche, where our chalet is nestled. You can almost see it from our front door.
I found out recently that the area holds a special place in snowboarding history. I have been up and down all around the area but never to the col itself or looked over the border to the area I now know as La Zone.
It was a lovely day for a walk, actually has been all week, so I went to check it out and indeed had a lovely walk up and ride down.

Last week we went and did a bit of adventure boarding.
Hiking up to and around the Hospice Grand Saint Bernard, on the Swiss Italian boarder.
The snow could have been better, the wind beat us to it, but we still had many great turns and a great explore thanks to .
The hospice it self is well worth a visit. Somewhere between refuge/hotel/historical artifact it even has it's own museum. Though very little is made of the dogs.
The guys were super helpful in getting it all together and a good time was had by all.
Lets do it again sometime soon.

Afternoon tea is not only a lovely quintessentialy british thing, but an important necessity after an active day on the mountain. Whether you prefere to go straight at it as soon as you are through the door, or wait till after a nice ease down inthe hot-tub.
There is always plenty of homemade cake on offer at Chambertin.

It turns out that airlines are noticing more and more people are turning up to travel with unsigned passports.

You may not be aware but your passport is not valid until it has been signed.
There are some exceptions though, if you are under 11 years old or have a disability that prevents you from being able to sign. In which cases though it actually say you are excempt on your passport.

Just a little something to be aware of, that could save you some time and hassle when you next pass through passport control.

A great nights sleep is always important. If however you've been running round the mountains all day, you're going to be wanting for things like a kingsize bed and down duvet, just to make sure you get the best nights sleep.
As you'll be wanting to wake refreshed to do it all again the next day.
