Why not head to Felbrigg Hall NT whilst staying with us for a nice walk and see if you can spot one.

Species of the month: Banded demoiselle (Calopteryx splendens)💎

Differentiate between the glitz and glam of these jewel-winged damselflies by spotting the banded wings of the metallic blue males, compared to the un-banded emerald green females.

One of the largest of these predatory aerial insects, catch sight of their courtship displays as they flutter, rather than zoom, around Felbrigg Lake this summer.

The sun finally came out for Father’s Day. Nice walk around Felbrigg Hall National Trust only 20minutes away with a great cafe for drink, cake or lunch.

Great place to hire paddle boards from. Coltishall is only 10minutes from us. Paddleboarding on the broads is a great day out, with pubs on the river to stop for a refreshment along the way!

Sheringham Park is only 30 minutes from us. A great place to walk aswell as having a coffee shop on-site.

Have you seen our handkerchief tree lately?

Explore the wild garden and discover our last remaining specimen of Davidia involucrata, grown from the original seed brought back from China by plant collector Ernest Wilson in the early 20th century.

An unusual addition to the National Trust's this spring, its beautiful white, flower-like bracts appear to flutter, like doves or handkerchiefs, in the slightest breeze. A mesmerising sight.
