A couple of glimpses of the #bushmillsfoodtour which Ballycastle Rotary booked for themselves and other Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland clubs. Two people even flew in for it!! I hope they had a great time, because I certainly enjoyed their company.

During research of the Bushmills Salmon Station and then again with tour groups, I've learnt even more about the lifecycle of the salmon than I'd already garnered by working at Carrick a Rede rope bridge (which was quite a lot - I'm a dairy farmer's daughter - we just bought fish on Fridays!).
Here's a video of a salmon being caught in the trap at the Salmon Station where they're caught, tagged and released.

This is my first attempt at a video. Cormac O'Connor teaching me how to eat crab claws for tomorrow's Ballycastle Food Tour as he won't be there. It went well till he got so frustrated with me he had to take over!!! I'll let you know how tomorrow goes..guests beware! :-D
