Lovely to hear the guests excitment at seeing our pine martin. It has been in and about alot this summer which has decreased the red squirrel visits but they are both around.
24 different birds...they were only here on a short visit!

There are definitely fish in the Dee this year. Our guest from the States was the first to land a salmon while staying at Sandy's. Current guests have multiple salmon including a 12lb fish that was the biggest caught on the river that day.

Cyclist is not wrong.

For those travelling to race at next weekends Scottish Cyclocross races Knockburn Sports Loch don't just come and race and leave. Come spend some time and explore.

I for one am really looking forward to the Scottish Cyclocross championships at Knockburn Sports Loch later this month.

I do love a good cx championships but have not been able watch any live racing since 2018 in Valkenburg.

Back to one of my favourite spots by the Dee. A short ride or a good walk from Sandy's. It is also a great place to stop, enjoy the scenery and take a break after a long day out knowing home is just a few minutes away.

Had a bit of a wildlife week. Caught these 3 on camera and then there are the red squirrels, the woodpeckers and a failed hit from a sparrowhawk. Never dull!

Big adventure for a little bike. Not ideal weather but a great run out to Craigellachie . Got a bit cold and wet on the way back though. Still it proves little Chinese bikes can do it if properly prepped. Bike wash and garage available
