Orlando: the grown up version 🤩🇺🇸💫

I’ve spent the last 4 weeks living & working in Orlando, and have had the opportunity to explore the sunshine state more than ever over the last few weeks. Here are my top tips on where to stay/eat & things to see/do!

WHERE TO STAY
£ - Rosen Inn at Pointe (central, cheap & cheerful)
££ - Regal Oaks Resort (townhouses, walk to Old Town)
£££ - (brand new, resort-style, stunning)

DAYTIME THINGS TO DO
- - a great afternoon out and doesn’t break the bank. Gators are fascinating!
- Clearwater Beach (car required)
- Rock Springs for something ‘different’!

EVENING AMBIANCE
- Old Town Kissimmee (fairground rides/stalls)
- Disney’s Boardwalk (great Italian there for dinner too)
- World Food Trucks (cool experience, visit when hungry!)
- Disney Springs (great for food & clothes shopping)
- Universal City Walk (good for a loud vibey dinner)

EVENING ENTERTAINMENT

Postcards from Croatia on a…

Jet2 Sailing holiday! 🛥️🇭🇷

You heard me right… this INCREDIBLE adventure last year is offered by Jet2Holidays, at it was honestly one of my favourite holidays yet!

What is ‘Blue Monday’?

It was created in 2005 by a travel company as a marketing campaign, encouraging people to book holidays on (what is considered) ‘the most depressing day of the year’.

However, it lacks validity and scientific evidence, and the psychologist who came up with it has gone on to say that he wishes that he never created it in the first place.

Mental health is important EVERY day of the year.

REMEMBER Blue Monday is just another Monday, which is just another day.

Hello! 👋🏼

I’m back from honeymoon and back in the office (and very grateful for our office heating!)

It’s been great to catch up with Caitlin and we’re working on supporting our clients on some really exciting upcoming trips! We’ll post more about these soon…

On Monday, we moved offices (eee!!) - we’re within the same shared office building, but across the hall in a larger office with an internal meeting room. We’ll give you a tour as soon as we’re settled in!

The next few weeks are super exciting for us - we have Travel Counsellors annual conference next weekend, which is a firm highlight of the year. Super excited to catch up with colleagues and supplier friends.

Next, in early December… Caitlin is getting married! I can’t wait to celebrate two of my bestfriends tie the knot.

So.. lots of exciting things happening!! 😍

There are a lot of things that come are factored in when deciding which island to visit! We often hear about ‘Greece’ being discussed as one destination, but every island is so unique!

Our 3 favourite non-Disney/Universal hotels in Orlando! ⬇️

Deciding where to stay in Orlando can be overwhelming, but deciding to stay off-site can offer a great base whilst you explore the Theme Parks (and can save you some money too!)

📍 Element Orlando Universal Blvd
Based next to Icon Park, this Marriott-Owned hotel is a great option for anyone wanting to be able to walk to restaurants and nightlife. It’s situated in the middle of Universal and Disney, and has a fantastic remote working space downstairs (just in case you need to catch up on some emails!) 👀
We have stayed here twice now, and I would stay again too

📍 at Celebration
Being just around the corner from Disney, this hotel is a great base for anyone wanting a relaxing hotel for some downtime between parks! The food at the restaurant is beautiful, the lobby smells amazing when you walk in, and the bar was a Happy Hour too (again, we’ve stayed and would go back tomorrow if we could!)
TIP: Upgrade to the 1 Bedroom Suite, definitely worth it for the kitchen and living room areas.

Our favourite property for families wanting their own space - Regal Oaks offers 2-3 Bedroom Townhomes (with private jacuzzi’s to soak your aching feet after parks too!). It’s not far from Disney, and just a short walk to Old Town Kissimmee for some evening ambiance too!

TIP 1: Book any of the above as a split-stay with an on-site property (I.e. 7 nights here and 7 nights in Disney/Universal) to make use of park benefits too!

Had a LAVA-ly day at Volcano Bay 😍

Week 3 of working in Orlando is complete, and we have managed to squeeze in a few days at Disney and Universal. We’ll be posting our top tips on visiting soon!

For now, Steph is travelling onwards to the Bahamas for a few nights, whilst Caitlin is going on her first cruise 😍

We are still working hard to support our upcoming departures and new enquiries. Please bare with us as replies may take a little longer than normal. We’ll be back in the office full time at the end of next week and can’t wait to finalise some incredible itineraries!

The LuxeAdventures team are in the USA!

We are supporting our sister company and are creating some amazing memories for the families and supporters of the cheerleading teams who are travelling over the coming weeks.

This includes bucket list itineraries such as Disney World and Universal, with our first hand experience allowing us to give the best advice, from driving in Orlando to the best places to eat and stay.

Our top tips for visiting Bali...

Bali has remained one of our most popular destinations, with incredible value for accommodation and an extensive list of things to do, it's a great choice for all kinds of travellers. Here's our top tips for your next trip to Bali...

Bali is more than a one stop destination! We often will recommend two or three different locations to stay, be open to suggestions, especially if you are looking to avoid the crowds.

Rainy season is not necessarily a bad thing. Low season in Bali (October-January) sees sudden short downpours, often limited to the afternoon. You can save hundreds by traveling in these months and still have plenty to do while avoiding crowds.

Take note when planning your travels - Bali has active volcanoes that can disrupt travel and impact flights/hotels and movement in the country. Always make sure you are booking with someone you trust and make sure you have package protection and travel insurance!
