WORLD RECORD BIRD FLIGHT:

The longest recorded migration by a bird, without stopping for food or rest was recorded in 2022 at a whopping 13,560 km (8,425 miles) tracked by a satellite-tagged, juvenile Bar-tailed Godwit (Limosa lapponica baueri) that flew directly across the Pacific Ocean from Alaska, USA, to Tasmania, Australia. 🌳 🌎 World Environment Day - 5 June 🌎

Planting a Tree is just one of many positive actions we can do 🌱🌿 to celebrate World Environment Day, doing something for our Environment, cleaning up a beach, planting locally native wildflower seeds for Pollinators or building a pond are a few more..

A mature leafy tree produces as much oxygen in a season as 10 people inhale in a year. A 100-foot tree, 18 inches diameter at its base, produces 6,000 pounds of oxygen. On average, one tree produces nearly 260 pounds of oxygen each year.
