The French Rooms Bushmills has been sold and exciting plans are a foot by the new owners which we are excited to see and we wish everyone involved the very best for the future!

As one door closes, another one opens - for me at least! I am thrilled to announce that I will now be working with
KVI Travel, a renowned luxury travel agency specialising in tailor-made holiday experiences with a particular focus on luxury cruising. Everyone who knows me well knows I have a passion for travel and I will now be able to help clients plan their dream vacations and make them a reality.

It has been an emotional few weeks as we come to terms with the death of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, an incredibly hard-working and inspirational female role model.
We find comfort in the support and respect of our global community and the role models we can celebrate in our wee village.
Two of them are steadfast ‘Building Me’ supporters and they shared their journeys with us this week.

Intrepid Explorer Rachel McNabb modelled one of our Building Me T-Shirts in Jordan. She works so hard all year round and when she can take a break so doesn't go for a relaxing beach holiday, she searches out holidays that are challenging, that bring her into the heart of real communities that she can connect to and she returns home with memories and friendships for life!

Meanwhile, her sister, Glenda Rodgers BEM travelled to Westminster Hall with her friend to pay her respects to Her Majesty and generously shared her experience with us all. No queue skipping. Glenda represented us all as she paid her respects to her Majesty with poise and dignity.
‘Building Me’ would like to thank you both for your support and friendship.

Built between 1825 and 1850, Mills played an important part in Bushmills history. This building was lovingly restored by Sam and Jan Huey in the 1980's and is now owned and managed by the Irish Landmark Trust.

The Kiln Wing is a beautifully restored self-catering accommodation which can be booked via www.irishlandmark.com

The Irish landmark Trust is a charitable organisation founded in 1992 to save heritage buildings throughout the island of Ireland that are at risk of being lost. Each building is given a sustainable future by letting them as self-catering holiday accommodation.

Good friend of The French Rooms John Rodgers spotted this framed print in our ‘vintage finds’ section of our Online shop

A military themed print ‘Tipperary’ from the painting by J C Dollman from the illustrated sporting and dramatic news Dec 1927. Inspired by the song composed in 1912, the song became so popular that during World War 1, British troops would sing it as they marched to and from battle in France.

This atmospheric and poignant print is now displayed as part of the brilliant Bushmills Through the WARS exhibition at the Dunluce Parish Centre, curated by the learned and hardworking Glenda Rodgers. Open all week, proceeds to a number of worthy charities, definitely worth a visit!

'Hats Off' to Colin who spied this metal hook in our Pop Up shop last weekend. We were simply describing it as a wall-mounted hook suitable for a bathroom but he had the inspo to create a wall feature of his impressive hat collection. How great does this look against the industrial-style metallic finish wall covering! Thanks for sharing with us 😍.
We have just 2 of these 3 hook versions left. WAS £35 Now £28.

Thanks to regular Pop-Up shop customer Pam for sending us a pic of this sophisticated desk lamp she purchased last week . Its aged bronze finish gives it a modern antique look. It makes an ideal desk accessory and quirky bedside light. The lamp has an adjustable head and the cable is black fabric. We have one left, available to purchase in store. We open tomorrow at 11am.
