Charming Crooked Nook is a 1750s holiday cottage positioned in the Peak District National Park
Most of my guests are great guests but sometimes they are superb! Not only did this lovely lady Catherine and her woofer Stella leave Crooked Nook like they hadnt even been there, she also left me this gorgeous little drawing of the front of the cottage! 🥰
Winnats Pass is a very short drive from the cottage and is truly epic! 🤩

We love zipping about on our bikes in the Peak District! Access to the Monsal Trail is just 7 miles away from Crooked Nook at Millers Dale.

The Monsal Trail runs for 8.5 miles from Bakewell to Chee Dale, passing through some of the Peak District’s most incredible landscapes 🌳
Perfect for cyclists, walkers, horse-riders, pushchairs and wheelchair users - the Monsal Trail follows a former railway line and is accessible for all 🚴♂️🐴
You can hire bikes and enjoy refreshments at on the route too! 🚲☕️

We will have many stallholders in the Octagon, food & drink both inside and outside, children’s entertainment, the launch of the boats on the boating lake and our Easter Trail!

Oh come on, I mean, can you really imagine anything cuter?! It's not just those little faces that melt my heart, it's the teeny hooves! And that fine gate, obviously. The first lambs are boinging and meeeh-ing around in the Peak District fields now and it's a sure sign that Spring is just around the corner. Happy T-ewes-day!

We’ve been hearing a lot about our magnificent Kinder Scout today ⛰️ Vernon Kay conquered the Peak District’s highest point en route to Manchester during his amazing ULTRA challenge for BBC Radio 2 BBC Children in Need, but unfortunately low cloud meant he couldn’t enjoy the views from the top ☁️👀

Famous beauty spot Mam Tor, just minutes from Crooked Nook, was the location of one of the 'Light up the Mountain for Mountain Rescue' events yesterday - amazing! 😍
Chatsworth House is around a 25 minute drive from the Nook and the country fair is an annual event 😍
I cant believe how much exploring my last lovely guests did, very impressed! This is the super note they left in the visitors book and a photo of their lovely dog Poppy 😍

Surely bluebells are one of Spring's greatest gifts? Lighting the darkest woodland floors with such a surprise of bright colour amid the grasses and unfolding bracken. Every year I count down the weeks until their arrival and then watch their progress day by day, until the moment when I walk into the woods and see that blaze of blue shining at me through the trees.

I adore the Pavillion gardens in Buxton, and the newly refurbished winter gardens. Just 10/15 minute drive from the 'Nook.
