Goodbye from Derek and Penny
Our holiday business is now closed and we will be moving home on 11th March.
Restoring Sannan Court to its former glory has been a privilege and an epic task. We couldn't have done it without all the local suppliers and other superstars who have helped us over seven years since 2017 with the building, decorating, electrics, plumbing, heating, specialist treatments, windows, tree works, cleaning, laundry, grass-cutting and everything else. The support of the Llanfynydd community has been fantastic. We have made so many friends in this beautiful village, as well as amongst our wonderful guests who have been so complimentary about the standard of our holiday accommodation. A big thank you to every one of you. Sending our warmest wishes to all concerned, especially to the grand old lady (now re-invigorated) that is Sannan Court. Here's to her next 150 years in the loving care of all of her future guardians!

Sannan Court is a former vicarage set in a walled garden, converted into 5 self-contained apartments available for holidays and short breaks.
It stands at the centre of a picturesque, rural village that has a friendly pub and restaurant for when you’re feeling sociable.
We're surrounded by hills and mountains, patchwork fields with grazing animals, forests and rivers. You'll love spotting Red Kite birds of prey, and be astounded by all the stars you can see on a clear night. Walkers, cyclists, and runners love the terrain; mountain bikers come for the trails in nearby Brechfa Forest; garden lovers come for The Lost Gardens of Aberglasney and The National Botanic Gardens of Wales, a short drive away. There's also the British Bird of Prey Centre, The National Trust's Dinefwr park and castle, Paxton’s Tower, and atmospheric Iron Age hill forts. Dryslwyn castle ruins, perched above the beautiful River Towy are just a few minutes away. There's no shortage of ruined castles crowning hilltops! The nearest sandy beaches are at Llansteffan estuary, about 18 miles, A little further on are Pendine Sands, famous for world land speed record trials, and the estuary town of Laugharne, home of the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. Within an hour's drive of Sannan Court you can be in the Brecon Beacons National Park, or in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with its glorious beaches and busy resorts like Tenby and Saundersfoot. The western coastline of Ceredigion with its completely different character is little more than an hour away, so we really are perfectly located for exploring in all directions. The county town of Carmarthen has extensive facilities for all needs, and has a restored steam railway nearby.
Along with your refurbished apartment, on-site facilities include plenty of parking, a hose for muddy boots/bikes/paws, and storage for bikes, etc. Pre-booked dogs are accepted in Apartments 1 and 4. Please contact us for further details or to let us know if you have any special requirements.
