Appt 7 Bronte House Low Wood has a long history, first as a mill and then as a school. Its new incarnation as a well-presented second-floor apartment in Casterton is its nicest one yet. This is a fantastic spot for a self-catering holiday home in the Yorkshire Dales, with great access to the fells of Cumbria, Lancashire and North Yorkshire for walking and mountain biking. rooms, two bathrooms, and two parking spaces, so it's perfect for friends, couples and families. You're only a short stroll from the popular Pheasant Inn village pub and two miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. Is there anything more annoying than reaching a beauty spot or trig point only to be greeted by a queue of people waiting to take a selfie? Well, it's not exactly a secret, but it's not as well known as other parts of the national park, which means that you don't have to share these spectacular views. Find your feet on a walk to Barbon Fell and the Casterton stone circle, which archaeologists believe to be around 4,000 years old. Continue the walk to Brownthwaite Pike or stretch your legs for the 8-mile walk to Kirkby Lonsdale. Another beautiful route goes to Clougha Pike, with others leading east to Blea Moor and the Ribblehead Viaduct, and north to Sedbergh. The nearest town is Kirkby Lonsdale. Virtually every shop here is independently owned and run, and there are lots of places to eat and drink. Windermere is only half an hour from the apartment, as is Carnforth. Ingleton and White Scar Caves are also easy to drive to. There's no end of places to hike, cycle or mountain bike when you stay at Appt 7 Bronte House Low Wood. Contrasting with the rustic stone exterior, your holiday home is bright and modern, beautifully furnished with your comfort in mind.

Here we go! 🏃‍♂️🍺
It’s short notice but since we have had such amazing feedback about starting our own running club “The Monumental Movers” we have decided to launch on Thursday 23rd November this week!
What’s happening?
We meet from 6pm at The Barn with 6.30pm sharp run time.
The route is 5km exactly so my app says!
We will be slow and steady social pace, this will be a non drop run, so no one will be left behind!
Come along and catch up with friends or make some new ones, everyone is welcome!
The aim of this is to have some fun even if it doesn’t feel@it all the time, then back to the Barn to get your beery reward after!
Everyone must have a HEAD TORCH for safety and the insta photos!

99.7% of Champagnes are made using Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunièr HOWEVER 0.03% of champagnes are made using 4 other grapes from the Champagne AOC region; pinot blanc, pinot gris, petit meslier and arbane.

We were super excited to hear ELODIE D had created an exclusive 100% Pinot Gris Champagne as it was something non of us had heard of, or tried before. ( and I made a special trip to Champagne to try it before ordering )

Well the exciting news is we have a very limited number of bottles - It’s been aged for 6 months in oak barrels and has a nutty, smokey warmth

Autumn is definitely with us now! A time of crisp early mornings and beautiful colours. There’s no better time to visit Kirkby Lonsdale and the surrounding area. With plenty of pubs restaurants and cafes to choose from Kirkby Lonsdale is great place to chill and browse the wonderful array of independent shops. Not forgetting of course the weekly market on Thursdays and for the more energetic there’s plenty to do in the local countryside. We have some availability for autumn breaks still but hurry as it’s booking up fast!

Pub Design Awards!

We're super proud of this. After a long wait we received an email yesterday that we have been awarded a 'highly commended' in CAMRA's Pub Design Awards.

These awards recognise the most stunning feats of architecture, design, and conservation in British pubs across the country. There were five winners and four highly commended pubs across different categories ranging from refurbishment to new build in this year's awards.
