A few pictures of our stunning East Beach this summer shared by one our recent guests who came primarily to enjoy Glorious Goodwood but ended up having just as much fun exploring. The Lifeboat Pub and the High Street were looking as gorgeous as always. Thank you Roland for sharing these with us and so pleased you enjoyed your stay!

A fantastic community event happening this weekend!

It’s nearly time 😀 The Cricket Club’s legendary Beer, Rounders & Family Fun Day will be on the Recreation Field this Sunday Aug 7th. Here’s Ricky with the low down.

When it's 22°C at 9am, there's only two things to do...swim and eat ice cream!!! Our dogs love the lickable Frozzys yoghurt from the East Beach Kiosk at the end of the road! Our beautiful balcony is the perfect place to start days like this...we love the 🌞

Holy Shmokes! What a feast at Penny's American Diner today! Great food and service, something for everyone big and small and vegans are very well catered for too.

Happy World's Earth Day 2022 - a day created to raise awareness about the vital need to protect our planet from pollution. This year it has the theme Invest in our Planet.

We are pleased to see the commitment from MARES - just add water to reduce the amount of plastic waste that they produce in their packaging. This matches our own determination to reduce our impact as a business.

The marine world has segmented worms just like the garden. This is the Greenleaf Worm (Eulalia viridis) - these colourful worms act as in important food source for fish and birds and clean up feeding on dead animal tissue. If you can get close enough to the head with a magnifying glass you will see two red eyes. They can have up to 200 segments and five antennae. You can find them at low water all around the UK coast. This picture was taken at East Beach, Selsey.

Tomorrow is the first of this year's beach clean! We'll keep you posted on more to come throughout the year.

This Sunday 30th January is the first of our Beach Clean and Surveys for 2022. We record and collect the rubbish that we find on our beaches to build a picture of how it moves with the currents and effects our shores and marine life before it washes up. We held 5 events in 2022 and with your help we recorded and removed 86kgs of rubbish from Selsey beaches. This year we are going to combine our cleans with other citizen science work to support the Shark Trust and Kelp Restoration Project.

The forecast for Sunday is for it be cloudy but dry. We are meeting at 13:00 near Selsey Lifeboat Station. If you can spare a couple of hours we would greatly appreciate your help. We got a little bit "arty" down on the beach today!

The temperature definitely feels like "winter is coming" (said in our best Ned Stark accent) but we had such a great time at the beach this afternoon. The water was clear and calm and a lovely reminder that it can stunning at any time of year here.
Thank you to everyone who has visited and supported us through the peak of the summer. We have some lovely people enjoying the house over the Christmas period and into the new year now but bookings from February are live and filling up quickly!

Urgent Notice - Playground Temporarily Closed, Please DO NOT ENTER

The fenced in play area at East Beach has been temporarily closed due to unsafe branches caused by the inclement weather on the nearby tree. Selsey Town Council are working to rectify the situation but the closure notices will remain in place over the weekend.
