Cadair Bronwen is a walk that is taking place on Sunday 3rd September. This is a marvellous walk to a lovely summit. The area is full of ancient settlements and history and you can even overlook where a UFO may have crashed in 1974. A great first major peak and a lovely walk in and descent. You even get to visit a very ancient stone circle.

Our Walk 5 on Saturday 2nd September is the Tegid Way to Llandrillo. You start this walk in Corwen and walk down the former railway line into Cynwyd where you pick up the Tegid Way following it up to the Wayfarers track which you ascend before heading down into Llandrillo. One of the nicest benches by a stream in the Berwyn to be enjoyed on this walk. A really good day walk suitable for most people. From Llandrillo you will be collected and brought back to Corwen.

Our Walk 1 on Saturday 2nd September is the Berwyn Ridge walk. We start in Llangynog and then walk over the hills to the impressive Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall. From here the group ascend to the Berwyn Ridge taking in the Summits of Moel Sych, the mighty Cadair Berwyn and for some Cadair Bronwen. For this year we will be asking people if possible to meet in Corwen then drive to Llangynog (we will transport anyone who cannot do this) the walk finishes in Llandrillo from where we will bring people back to Corwen and then we will get the drivers back to Llangynog to collect their cars. This walk is always popular so it is good to book before you arrive. Always stunning and a great ridge to walk.

The 2022 walking festival came to an end on Sunday afternoon and the start of the planning for 2023 started yesterday. One thing we want to do for 2023 is add some new walks in and this one to Arenig Fawr is one of our thoughts. There would be fourteen places on this mountain walk. If you are interested in this or other walks you can already register your interest and hold a provisional place email [email protected]

The Berwyn Ridge walk this year had more people on it than ever before and the walk, as with all our walks, was made possible by the dedicated walk leaders. The youngest of our walk leaders in 2022 was Millie who earlier this year did her Mountain Leader Training and then worked with us to gain further experience of working with Groups. Next year we want to recruit more younger people to work with our team of experienced guides and help us to take the festival forward for the next decade and beyond

Thanks to all our walk leaders you are all amazing for giving your time to the festival
