Great news, you no longer have to manhandle your dog over the gate to get to the pub!
Not too much of a problem for the 3 chihuahuas recently, but the husky a few weeks back must have been a "challenge".
Always seemed to be much easier on the way BACK from The George III.

As you may know the and is our community event here at and every year runners contribute to us helping local community organisations and teams with valuable donations through their entry fees. The whole event is not for profit.
It's just over 5 weeks until race day and we are really grateful to the 100+ runners and canicrossers who have entered to date 🙏
We are realistic and understand that times are a little hard out there for people and there are so many event to choose from, however to enable us to not make a loss we need to hit close to 200 entries this year and if you are planning on running, but haven't year hit that ENTER button 😃 👆 please do so soon, as it really helps with our planning for the event (and Matt's stress levels! 😁 - and if you are not planning on running but want to see the event succeed PLEASE SHARE if you can in your running community, local groups and clubs!

Barmouth Christmas Lights switch on last night, prosecco at Oriel Gallery, mulled wine at Pieces for Places and a pint or two at the newest pub in town The F***y Talbot.
Seemed to do a bit less "Christmas shopping" and a bit more "pub crawl", a great night, well done Barmouth

We are utterly shocked and immensely proud to have been nominated as one of 3 finalists in the streetfood/takeaway category of the BBC Food&Farming Awards 2022.

Massive THANK YOU to everyone who nominated us (we had absolutely no idea this had happened). Also, THANK YOU to everyone who has continued to support us both near and far. We are super lucky to live and work in such a beautiful place.

Our local Search and Rescue Team plays a vital role in our community. But how much do you know about them? Join us for an informal and informative talk and hear some tales from a passionate insider.

You will find out that, right from their early days, Mountain Rescue organisations have been involved in much more than just mountains. Stories of searches for missing persons, stuck dogs, flood rescue and ambulance assistance keep the ASART volunteers active year round.

Graham O’Hanlon has been a member of Aberdyfi Search and Rescue Team (ASART) for 10 years. He is kept occupied as a call handler, press officer, treasurer, SwiftWater Rescue trainer and training with his dog “Venn”, hoping to qualify as a Search and Rescue Dog Association (SARDA) trailing team.

Yippee.
One of our favourite local eating establishments continues to be "award winning". Well done.
Luckily they also have Diana's delicatessen in the town, so some firm favourites can still be scoffed when dining at home, including a sharing cheese platter and the best bread around.
