20 service - we are experiencing flash flooding on the Longden Road (near roundabout) and Hanwood Road, please bear with us as we running a litttle slower than usual and also may drop off slightly away from any flood affected bus stops. Many thanks for your support & cooperation.

501 service update,
The 17:10 service to Shrewsbury won’t be able to service cockshutt/burlton/myddle due to the road closure between Ellesmere and Burlton that was supposed to reopen at 16:00 has now overrun.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
The road should open in the next hour

Great start to the week!
Some runs may be upto 10 minutes late due to a fallen tree on the Oswestry Road near our Ellesmere depot preventing our drivers getting into work and buses getting out.
We are operating via a 10 mile diversion please wait at stops we are on the way

10:45 is now heavily delayed due to traffic in Shrewsbury. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

501 service delays:
We currently have 2 buses which are heavily delayed in cockshutt with the roadworks.
We have deployed a 3rd bus to do the 10:45 trip from Shrewsbury to Ellesmere, this journey will NOT serve Cockshutt due to the roadworks.

501 service update -
More delays expected today, please be patient with our drivers as they’re doing their best to keep to time but unfortunately this will not always be possible. Diversion in place between Cockshutt and Burlton again.

501 service update - road closure between Burlton and cockshutt between the times of 09:30 and 14:45. During this time the 501 bus will be following this diversion -
501 to Shrewsbury - normal route to Cockshutt, then turning left after the primary school in Cockshutt, towards Loppington. Turning right in Loppington towards Burlton, rejoining the normal route! And same for the 501 to Ellesmere.
We will update you accordingly.

Bus fares slashed on routes 449 and 501.

Lakeside Coaches are delighted to be participating in the Government ‘Help for Households’ bus fares cap scheme from Monday 2nd September 2024. ( www.helpforhouseholds.campaign.gov.uk/help-with-transport-costs/ ) This scheme, which runs until at least 31st December 2024, caps all single bus fares on the 449 and 501 routes to just £2 for a single journey or £4 for a return journey. This represents a saving of up to 60% on some fares.

501 service delay:
The 07:15 trip is currently running around 15 minutes late due to driver absence. The 09:00 trip will be on time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Lakeside Coaches bus service 501 revised from 31st August 2024 with an extra journey at 0810 on Saturdays from Ellesmere and an extra journey at 1455 on Saturdays from Shrewsbury.

Weekdays - the 1620 from Shrewsbury will now run 20 minutes later at 1640.

208 Ellesmere Town Service
Unfortunately we cannot serve Beech Drive due to a car parked to close to the junction where Beech Drive meets Oswestry Road meaning larger vehicles are unable to pass.

The bus will travel down to the Business park roundabout and pick up along Oswestry Road instead.

Shrewsbury service update - due to road works by Mardol Quay, and the traffic coming from bridge street having to be diverted to Frankwell roundabout to then return over Welsh bridge, Please expect delays on the 20/21 service but rest assured that the buses are on there way. We ask for your understanding and patience with the drivers as this is out of our control.

We would like to thank you all for your incredible response to our appeal regarding the damaged windscreen on our new coach.
With nearly 700 shares and loads of publicity from local media pages we are happy to say we have some great evidence and leads giving clear indications of the culprit(s).
Discussions with the police are on going.
