A lot has happened post Covid and some big changes have been made.

Initially poor health caused by the initial lock down led to further problems for me, both depression and more illness. Then last autumn I had a serious accident. This led to two back operations the most recent in mid April 2022.

As a consequence and for my personal health and a better future I sold Heddle this spring. I am about to move to Kirkwall. This means the Byre and the Bu are now permanently closed. We do still offer TURRIEDALE for self catering holidays and this will continue.

Turriedale has availability from late August through to the autumn so please take a look at the website or contact me directly if you are interested. All the best for now. Simon Treasure

Hello to the summer season of 2021.

We are now reopened after various Covid diktats from on high have been uplifted. Things change daily but we are open to same householders now and mixed households from May 17th.

Please consult real time sources like VisitScotland or Orkney.com for more detailed information but in essence you are very welcome to visit Orkney again and especially welcome to stay with us at Heddle.
