Such an unusual installation- just 10 minutes from Rosemount Cottages

Scotland is full of unusual places to be discovered! This remarkable stone labyrinth, known as the Touchstone Maze, can be found in Blackmuir Wood outside Strathpeffer, just 30 minutes' drive from the city of Inverness

Wow! Many thanks to our lovely guest Gabi for sending us this video of the Black Water river passing Rosemount cottages over the weekend after Storm Babet came through!!! That’s a lot of water. Never seen the river so high!! 🫣🫣🫣😲😲😲

Black water river is impressive today, after Babet passes through!! The awesome power of the river at Little Garve bridge, and liking the bottom of the Commando bridge! Fortunately the cottages are safe 😊👍

Thank you so much to our lovely German guests, the Rein family, staying in the Bothy the last few days for allowing us to share their pictures they sent us. Despite an unfortunate incident in the loss of a driving licence on the way to the car rental, and so unable to rent a car, they managed to get to Rosemount Bothy for their stay using buses, trains and taxis!! Also managing to get out and about. They managed to make good of a bad situation and stayed positive throughout 😊👍
Many thanks Arne and Nadjas for your lovely pictures and we do hope you all come back and stay again sometime soon 😊👍…….with a car!

Enjoy this wee video link. It really does capture the ‘true Highlands’ where we are fortunate to live. You can explore the whole of NC500 from Rosemount Cottages & Bothy, without having to unpack and packed every day. We can advise you on best routes to do this, and give you some tips on best direction of travel and some lovely back roads and places to explore further 👍😊 enjoy!😃

A great wee update today. Our lovely guests Susan Leung have very kindly shared these gorgeous pictures from Tinto’s wee adventure on the little train that runs from Garve to Plockton. Plockton being where the popular TV series ‘Hamish Macbeth’ was filmed 😊👍 Tinto’s highland adventures continue! 😃👍🐾🐾

Wee ‘walk through’ of our Cottage at Rosemount in Garve. The middle of our three cottages. Sleeps four with a king size bedroom and a double bedroom. Located right on the NC500. On the banks of the Black Water River. Has its own decking area to enjoy the fresh air. Easy access to Inverness and both the west and east of the highlands. All ready for our guests to arrive 😃👍

Absolutely fantastic! Our lovely guests Andrew and Barbara from Germany 🇩🇪 staying with us last night. On tour of Scotland. Check out their next couple of gigs. Pink Varnish playing Friday night at Isles Inn in Portree on Isle of Skye and at Grog & Gruel Inn in Fortwilliam on Saturday night. But this morning we had a special live performance at the ‘Rosemount Coliseum’ in Garve 😃👍 how cool! All the best and have a great few days in the West Highlands. 👍😃 #pinkvarnish

Oh how great is this!! Andrew and Barbara if ‘Pink Varnish’ on tour in Scotland. A wee live session on our decking at Rosemount. They’re now heading to Isle of Skye to play at the Isles Inn in Portree, then off to play Saturday in Fortwilliam at the Grog & Gruel.
