Bookings for St Kilda trips are now live on our website.

We have opened up our booking system for St Kilda trips for the 2025 season. Head to www.uistseatours.co.uk if you’d like to join us on a trip to this spectacular archipelago.

For 2025 we will be operating these trips from Pol na Crann on the west side of Benbecula, sometimes know as Stinky Bay. This trip should take us 2 hours each way.

Calling all knitters 🧶

For the last number of years we have been working closely with who have been coming over to the islands for week long visits with one of their main objectives being all things wool and knitting.

They are now offering a week in Gotland, Sweden between the 2nd and 9th of April 2025. I can’t recommend this company highly enough so thought I’d share the trip incase there is anyone on here who might be interested. If you are drop Elisabeth an email and she will answer your questions.

We’ve had an incredible couple of days working with Yesterday was spent over on Barra & Vatersay doing guided walking and today was spent doing wildlife trips on the boat while half the group did a guided walking tour around Eriskay before a quick pit stop in the for lunch and then swapping groups for the afternoon. We were pretty spoilt with wildlife over the last couple of days seeing eagles, dolphins, a quick glimpse of a whale and many other birds. And most surprisingly was that there was finally little to no wind and the sun was shining.

Interesting to watch some of our resident pod of dolphins play with a fishing float tonight. They played with the float for around half an hour

We got lucky capturing the puffin flying with a load of sand eels in its beak and then caught the pair of sea eagles perched on the ruin with the sun setting. Both photos taken on an iPhone so the quality isn’t what it could be.
