I've just had a last-minute cancellation. The family booked to stay with us this week (Monday 12th to Friday 16th August) has had a medical emergency and so cannot stay.

Whilst this makes us sad, it means you could grab an August mid-week stay for the bargain price of £500!

It’s that time of year again!

What a lovely sight! The seals are coming onto the beach at Horsey ready to give birth. There are currently about 7 new pups, but the expected number at the end of the pup season (October until February) is around 3,500 - 4,000.

Please do keep your distance (recommended at least 10 metres) if you see groups or a single seal on the beach. It is particularly important not to disturb them during the pup season. You can view them from the sand dunes and the designated ‘viewing platforms’ only. DOGS must please be kept on leads at all times too.

Horsey Gap is home to one of the largest colonies of Grey Seals in the UK. There were nearly 4,000 seal pups born along this stunning stretch of coastline in 2022/23. Even in the summer months, seals can be seen on the beach or swimming along the shoreline.

You'll likely find volunteers from the charity, Friends of Horsey Seals, who have a dedicated team who look out for and protect the grey seals and their pups along the coast at both Horsey and Winterton.
