We were looking forward to returning to The Royal George, Irsha Street, Appledore. for a family birthday and it didn’t disappoint. With gorgeous views, great food and wonderful service it’s always a pleasure to eat there. What better experience than to eat seafood right there next to the sea.

Another amazing place if you are looking for somewhere to eat during your stay with us. We can definitely recommend The Boathouse. Perfect after a lovely walk along the beach.

Shout out to The Tarka Line Grill whose Cuban sandwich makes a filling and just delicious lunch! Guests on their way to or from Exeter and the south, or maybe just walking at one of the plantations of Eggesford forest, should definitely schedule a stop here and watch the trains go by.

Instow beach just before the rain came. The boathouse at Instow is a great stop off for coffee or lunch if you want a nice afternoon out

This is a super location for dinner if you don’t mind a little trip out in the North Devon countryside to get to it. It’s about 45 mins from us. Book well in advance though. It’s very popular. The Farmers Arms Woolsery

It’s 10 years today that we moved into Little Silver and started our North Devon adventure. And what an adventure it’s been! Since moving in (during a mini hurricane) we’ve built Little Silver Nugget a multi award winning holiday accommodation, and created a successful business which now also has 4 shepherds huts and enjoys welcoming guests back year after year. We have recently expanded to incorporate petite weddings. We’ve had two beautiful children who have made us a family, and two furry children who keep us on our toes. We’ve met amazing people and created lovely friendships. What a ride!!! We are looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks to you all for your support. We couldn’t do it without you. Thankfully no mini hurricanes today, just lots of snow. Sending you greetings from Lapland.

Beautiful day in Appledore for their book fair at the weekend. The children had a fantastic time following the trail around the village, making leather key rings, printing, bookmarks, rainbows, quizzes, ice creams and more - and we got to re-appreciate how lovely Appledore is. Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants to explore. Well worth a visit whilst staying with us.
