The “Boatooterie” is bulging and blooming!!……….

There have been more visitors this week with many folks surprised that the Sitooterie Community Garden is cared for and maintained by volunteers!
206 metres long, packed with colour and benefiting not only from the volunteers, but also the generous donations from our local supporters and visitors………….appreciated in so many ways.

Snow on the mountain tops…………..

…………but still some colour at the Sitooterie! - showing here a white osteospermum with light coloured foliage which makes a great contrast to the dark leaves of the red dahlia.
In September and October we planted over 200 pots of bulbs which are being grown at home before we “sink” them in the barrier and smaller planters in early Spring. Some of these bulbs are already showing signs of growth - green shoots are appearing in some of the pots!! We’re looking forward to some early Spring colour (already)!!!!!

This is the tiny ferry between Cromarty and Nigg. It takes 2 cars.

Take a drive round the Black Isle. This is the view near Cromarty. 😍

Dochgarroch is just outside Inverness. Takes boat ride on the famous Jacobite cruisers. Eat delicious at the An Talla cafe or just take a walk and admire the boats.

Loch Orrin. Off the beaten track and stunning. You’ll need up either walk or cycle in but it’s worth the effort. There’s a dam on the Loch as a powers hydro electric station

An hours drive away from Highland Holiday House. Visit Zip Trek Aviemore for your fun filled family adrenaline fix. Highly recommended. Situated on the beautiful Alvie estate. Great scenery and wonderful friendly guides to look after you and ensure all safety procedures are adhered to.

If you’re staying at Highland Holiday House then book yourself a guided canoe explorer trip on Loch Ness with In Your Element at Fort Augustus. It’s just a 30 minute drive away. 😊👍

Plodda Falls

Plodda Falls. Take a drive to Cannich 12 miles away then take the turning to Tomich as you enter Cannich. Follow the signs for the falls. Amazing waterfall and woodland trails.

Take a short ride to Struy then down the private road to Loch Monar. If you ask at the gatehouse they will open the gates for you. The 15 mile ride or drive is just amazing. The Loch at the end of the road is awesome

When we heard that Ticket To Ride at Inverness were renting out new Ebikes we got straight over and took one for 3 days to try it out.
