***Hebba Benyaghla***

Hebba Benyaghla is an active pianist and chamber musician based in Glasgow and a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where she completed her Undergraduate and Masters Degrees. She was the first recipient of the Principal’s Scholarship, studying with Prof. Aaron Shorr and Graeme McNaught. Hebba enjoys a diverse musical career working with many of Scotland’s National companies including Scottish Opera, The National Youth Choirs of Scotland, RSNO Chorus and Junior Chorus and as an accompanist and Lecturer in Piano for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Junior Department. Hebba maintains a keen interest in music education and regularly collaborates with Music Co-Operative Scotland (McOpera) in their Education and Outreach Projects. She has performed as part of many events and festivals including the Aurora Chamber Music Festival (Sweden), The Lammermuir Festival, Music at Paxton, Haddo Arts, Forum Musikae Academia International de Musica (Madrid), The Young Classical Artists Programme at Queen’s Hall Edinburgh and on BBC Radio 3 as part of International Women’s Day, celebrating the work of female composers. Hebba was a member of the London Sinfonietta Academy and was an Associate of the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Foyle Future Firsts programme for the 2021/22 season. This year Hebba was selected as a Britten-Pears Young Artist for Collaborative Piano 2022/23.

Ulrike Wutscher is an Austrian mezzo-soprano based in Scotland. Her roles have included Hermia in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Britten) with director Olivia Fuchs and music director Diego Masson and Daniel in “Belshazzar” (Handel) with director Emma Rivlin and music director Nicholas Kraemer in London. Since 2016 she regularly sings with The Scots Opera Project including Junon and Hyale in “Acteon” (Charpentier), the 3rd Lady in “The Magic Flute” (Mozart), the Sorceress in “Dido and Aeneas” (Purcell) and Apollo and Pluton in “Orpheus” (Charpentier).
A keen recitalist and concert singer Ulrike has sung recitals at the Sommerkonzerte in der Schubertkirche in Vienna, the Edinburgh Fringe, the Wanstead Fringe in London and the Netherlands among many other places. Highlights of recent concert performances are the alto solos in Mendelsohn’s “Elijah” and Handel’s “Messiah” with the Stirling University Choir, Mozart’s “Requiem” in Austria and Mozart’s “Mass in c minor” with the Rosenethe Singers at Dunblane Cathedral.
Ulrike is the conductor of Crieff Choral Group.

Soprano Colleen Nicoll completed a Masters in Vocal Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with distinction and combines a successful career as a professional soprano, animateur and choral conductor.

She has performed roles in numerous operatic productions including the title role in Handel’s Semele, Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream- Britten), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro – Mozart), Diana (Actéon- Charpentier), Yum Yum (The Mikado – Gilbert and Sullivan), Giannetta (L’elisir d’amore – Donizetti), Lady Dunmow (A Dinner Engagement – Lenox Berkeley), Galatea (Acis and Galatea - Handel), Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute - Mozart).

Colleen has a busy concert diary working in the UK and abroad and has recently recorded an album of Scottish classical art song with pianist Andrew Johnston - 'Wi A Canny Lilt’.

Colleen has completed outreach and education training with The Royal Opera House and English National Opera and works as a workshop leader and performer with Scottish Opera. She also conducts Pitlochry and District Choral Society and works alongside the Birnam Arts providing outreach and educational projects in the Perthshire community.

***Sioned Gwen Davies***

Sioned Gwen Davies is originally from Colwyn Bay, North Wales but now is based in Glasgow. She studied at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and The National Opera Studio in London. She is a former Scottish Opera Emerging Artist and in 2017 Sioned was the Welsh Representative in BBC Cardiff Singer of the World.

In Autumn 2021 and Spring 2022 Sioned sang Tessa in The Gondoliers and Kalyba in Utopia Ltd. with Scottish Opera. Also for Scottish Opera in 2021 Sioned sang the role of Meg Page in the David McVicar production of Falstaff.

In 2019/20 season Sioned made her debut with English National Opera as Pitti-Sing in The Mikado and sang 2nd Secretary to Mao in Nixon in China with Scottish Opera.

She made her professional operatic début in 2012 as Margarida in The Yellow Sofa for Glyndebourne Festival Opera’s Jerwood Project, both in the Festival and on the autumn tour, she returned to Glyndebourne to cover the roles of Olga, Eugene Onegin and Annina, La Traviata in 2014.
