THE WAIT IS OVER!!!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our day trips to Taransay for the summer season. This is in response to numerous requests to visit this most exquisite Hebridean island, where an ecological regeneration project is now underway.

The inaugural sailing will be on Tuesday 26th April and sailings will be scheduled every week subject to demand and weather, throughout the summer period.

You can book online through our new website https://isleoftaransay.com/ which gives full details of the scheduled sailings and what visitors can expect to see during their day on Britain’s largest uninhabited island. We will also give further updates here on our page.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Isle of Taransay.

Whether you decide to take your own vehicle or hire, we ask you to follow safe driving guidance.

Some things to consider:

βœ… Beware of livestock and wildlife on verges or on the road, whether it is cows, sheep or deer - they can jump out very quickly πŸ‘πŸ„πŸ¦Œ

βœ… Pull in and let traffic passed (especially on single track roads). The car behind could be trying to catch a ferry, attend an emergency or just be going about their daily businessπŸššπŸšπŸš”πŸš’πŸš‘πŸš—

βœ…Take extra care when passing cyclists and walkers, particularly on single track roads πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ

βœ… Note that some roads are not suitable for certain vehicles (e.g. larger motorhomes) especially winding single track roads

Please take a moment to watch driving videos (especially if you have not driven here before) πŸ‘‡
